For Aristotle theoria as awareness of awareness comes into view only after the individual has achieved the mastery of his animal appetites through a personal ethic of moderation and through a social ethic of substantive justice. Since these two governing ideals - personal arete and substantive justice - seem also necessary for Watson's new theorie, it would be necessary that he, too, must direct attention to how these ideals can be achieved in today's society.
